I am Dog Mom

There are moments in life that quietly become core memories, and bringing home our puppy, Oreo, was one of them. Look at this burst of sunshine.... I am a dog mom...

Born on April 17, 2026, Oreo officially arrived at his forever home, today (5th of June) and from the moment he stepped through the door, it felt like the entire house came alive.

What surprised me most wasn’t just how adorable he was, it was what happened to the kids.

For what felt like the longest time, their devices didn’t matter anymore. No tablets. No phones. No video games. Just pure excitement. They followed Oreo everywhere, watched his every move, laughed at his clumsy little puppy steps, and competed for who got to hold him next. It was one of those rare moments where technology took a backseat and simple joy took over.

Watching them connect with him reminded me that sometimes the best entertainment doesn’t come from a screen, it comes with four paws and a wagging tail.

Of course, reality arrived pretty quickly.

Within hours of bringing him home, Oreo had already peed and delivered his very first poop in our house.

And guess who got the honor of cleaning it up?

Me.

I won’t lie, it was a funny moment. One of those moments where you’re standing there with paper towels in hand thinking, “Well, I guess this is my life now.”

As glamorous as puppy parenthood sounds, it comes with responsibilities. Feeding schedules, potty training, cleaning up accidents, and making sure he feels safe and loved in a brand new environment. But somehow, even the messy parts feel worth it when you look at that fluffy little face.

Oreo is still adjusting, and honestly, so are we.

Every new sound catches his attention. Every corner of the house is an adventure waiting to be explored. He’s curious, playful, and already finding his place within our family. We know there will be challenges ahead chewed toys, sleepless nights, and plenty of training but we’re excited for all of it.

Because what arrived at our doorstep wasn’t just a puppy.

He brought laughter.
He brought excitement.
He brought the family together, without the constant obsession for their devices....

And judging by how quickly everyone has fallen in love with him, Oreo isn’t just our dog anymore, he’s family.

Welcome home, Oreo. We can’t wait to make memories with you.

bellow are some pictures of him.
