Loved Right

They say when a woman is loved right, it shows. Her laughter is louder, her smile is brighter, and her spirit is lighter. For the first time in a long time, I can say I am living proof of that.

Looking back, I see how far I’ve come and how my life has significantly changed for the better. There were seasons where fear silenced me, where I held back because I worried too much about what others might say. But if there’s one thing that has always been true about me, it’s this: I love deeply, and loyalty is everything. My heart has always been on my sleeve, visible as daylight, even when it made me vulnerable.

I’ve always believed that in any relationship especially one rooted in friendship everything should be clear from the start. Before I said “yes” to dating Mr. B, I told him exactly what I wanted in a partner, and he shared his heart with me too. That honesty became our foundation, and every day we keep building on it.

Here’s what I love most: he is not shy about loving me out loud. Whether it’s his affection, his words, or his playful ways (he jokes about “wearing my bum as a hat if he had to”), there’s no mistaking how much I mean to him. And I love him right back.

We both make sacrifices for our families and for our relationship but none of it feels heavy. It doesn’t even feel like sacrifice. It feels like ease, like flow, like the natural rhythm of life when two people are in sync.

Not long ago, I sat in silence reflecting on my past. I remembered the pain, the doubts, the times I thought love like this wasn’t possible for me. And then I looked at where I am today, loved, at peace, grateful beyond words.

Because here’s the truth: when love is right, it doesn’t just fill your heart. It frees your soul.

So, to every woman still waiting, still doubting, still wondering don’t give up.

The kind of love that makes you feel at home in yourself does exist, and when it comes, you’ll know.

Because when a woman is loved right… it shows.
